Being able to write a good project proposal is an important skill that every development worker and business executive ought to have. A good project proposal must reflect a logical, clear and concise presentation of an idea. This 4–day master class in project proposal writing is designed to equip participants with knowledge and writing skills to develop persuasive, captivating and innovative project proposals.

This course is highly practical and is designed to provide you with the opportunity to deepen your project proposal writing skills and confidence to lead multi-year and multi-layered development projects.

Through course inbuilt exercises, you will acquire new skills and insights to lead the development of complex projects, broaden your scope, and elevation to appreciate the current donor terrain.

The Class Structure and Methodology;

The certificate course in Proposal Writing is a total of 32 hours delivered in 4 days. The methodology is based on a practical, participatory, active learner-centred approach including group discussions, presentations and individual assignments. A detailed handbook by the Public Policy Institute and Success Africa is prepared and given to participants. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of the course. The maximum number of participants is 25.

The Course Objectives are;

  1. To equip you with the knowledge, skills and practices of writing persuasive, captivating and innovative project proposals through a step by step approach.
  2. To enhance your skills to develop a well-ordered and logical presentation of the three key aspects of project context, problem and theory of change in project proposal writing.
  3. To acquaint you with the application of selected project proposal writing tools, techniques, good practices, methodologies and processes.
