Service Delivery

26 September 2023

Service delivery refers to the provision of goods and services by government institutions to the people. Service delivery cannot be a reality in the absence of Good Governance. Good Governance ensures that sound and strong public institutions which are engaged in service delivery are accountable, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the people.

Government has a whole array of institutions, mechanisms, and an elaborate policy and legislative framework put in place to provide services which are based on the needs and rights of citizens. The National Planning Authority (NPA) was put in place to steer the development process. Vision 2040 and National Development Plan III were launched as a framework for development and service delivery in the country.
